Depression Of 1930 Quotes:

I am an old man and have known a great many troubles but most of them never happened. By Mark Twain Find out about Depression Of 1930

A look at the Black Tuesday crash of the New York Stock Exchange and if it caused the Great Depression

The main characteristic of U.S. stock exchange was mass speculation throughout the late 1920's. In 1929 alone, a record volume of 1,124 billion shares were traded on the New York Stock Exchange, while in less than one year Dow Jones Industrial average rose from 191 to 381. This situation intrigued investors, who became uninterested in corporate results and focused on the potential profits from the constant increase in the stock prices. Moreover, investors were buying stocks on margin by borrowing from their brokers as they didn’t actually have the money to purchase them. This led to an absurd increase of market performance and incurred huge profits for the investors. In the 1930s, the total of outstanding brokers' loans was $8.5 billion, while interest rates for broker’s loans were skyrocketing reaching even 20%.

In this speculative environment, the stock prices had begun declining since September 3, 1929, but on October 21 a free fall of prices panicked mostly the average investors, who started selling quickly in the fear of even greater losses. Although the prices stabilized the next two, on October 24 the system collapsed collectively as institutional and major investors lost confidence in the market. Big banking corporations tried to stop the crash, but it was obvious that the market’s correction mechanisms could not work under these panicky conditions. On Tuesday, October 29, 1929 Dow Jones recorded a decline of 13% and 16.4 million shares changes hands.

Black Tuesday of October 29, 1929 is broadly considered as the beginning of the Great Depression Era for the United States, but also for the economic system around the globe. However, it is a fact that, since September 1929 the U.S. stock exchange had declined by nearly 40% in less than five weeks. It is also a fact that since the beginning of 1920s, capitalist systems had experienced periods of panic and depressions as a result of ineffective economic policies and practices, both governmental and private. In this turbulent environment, investors had lost their confidence to the market before 1929, but they kept on investing being captured by extreme profitability from margin investing.

Therefore, Black Tuesday did not exactly caused the Great Depression. It was actually a correction of the market considering the 13% losses of that day compared to the average of 40% of the previous weeks. However, as market mechanisms were unable to reverse the situation and force required correction of errors, stock exchange ultimately collapsed.

Depression Of 1930
Depression Of 1930 Best Information

great depression 1930's?

why does this economic time period of harship deserve the title "Great"?

it was great simply because the world had never seen anything like it before.
The Depression was collective insanity. Workers were idle because firms would not hire them to work their machines; firms would not hire workers to work machines because they saw no market for goods; and there was no market for goods because workers had no incomes to spend.
It was a vicious cycle.

Depression History Quotes:

There are very few monsters who warrant the fear we have of them. By Andre Gide Find out about Depression History

History of Scotts Valley, California

The history of Scotts Valley, California is a lengthy tale. It is positioned at the bottom of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Archaeological digs have unearthed remnants of the Paleo Indian culture dating back as far as eight to twelve thousand years. Settlements of the Ohlone tribes are thought to date back as far as 2,000 B.C. It was also home to the Shasta tribe and many beaver. Wild produce such as acorns, berries, cherries, and plums made the area attractive to indigenous people. Steelhead fish and salmon supplied many meals for people of the region.

The region was formerly called Rancho San Agustin during the time of the Spanish-Mexican inhabitants. The area extends for over 4,400 acres. It was given to Jose Antonio Bolcoff who was recorded to be residing with his wife there in 1836. Bolcoff was a native of Russia but later became a Mexican citizen. He spent a period of time as a traveling interpreter for Alta, California's governor, Pablo Vicente de Sol .Bolcoff abandoned his "rancho" and it was then given over to his brother in law Joseph Ladd Majors.

Majors was an American citizen from Tennessee. He had previously earned a living as a trapper. When he came to the area he assisted in the operation of a distillery with Job Dye. He constructed a grist mill where area residents were able to get much need ground wheat. He used the "rancho" to assist in stowing away British and American citizens. They were being threatened by the Mexican government who wanted to banish all of the "foreigners" in the area. Meanwhile, Paul Sweet helped to develop the tanning industry in the region. There was a large presence of tanbark oaks within the Santa Cruz Mountains. He was a native of the state of Rhode Island.

Mayor Joseph Ladd Majors was elected into office, and in later years served as treasurer to the city. He decided to sell his property in 1850. A native of Maine, Hiram Scott, purchased Major's property. Scott had worked as a seaman but became a gold prospector in the area. His family was the only residents in the area for a long period of time. The city was named in his honor. Quail, deer, coyotes, wolves, mink, and grizzly bears were plentiful and indigenous to the region during that time period. He eventually sold off his land to a few different families as they came into the area.

Locke's Springvale Dairy was an attraction in the area. The dairy donated some land to the school district. Social activities largely took place within the school which became the social hub. Apples, butter, cheese, grapes, poultry and milk became staples of the areas produce. The beautiful landscape of the region called to tourists from many places, especially after The Great Depression. History of Scotts Valley, California shows that the area did not become incorporated until 1964 and wasn't truly a city until 1966. The city is now home to many high tech firms.

Depression History
Depression History Incredible News

Is it possible to be accepted into the military if you have a history of depression and once took meds for it?

Please only anwer this question if you are serious and know what you are talking about. NO COMMENTS PLEASE.

A history of depressive disorders treated with anti-depressants is not automatically disqualifying. It will require a waiver from either the Commander of the Recriuting District or a medical waiver in accordance with the brach of service's manual of the medical department.
There are certain things you can do to make the process easier. Try to get copies of all documents related to your mental health treatment. Be honest and open with your history to your Recruiter and to the people at MEPS (military entrance processing station).
Lying will eventually catch up with you. If you have a recurrence of symptoms while on active duty and reveal your previous history at that point you can be charged with a fraudulent enlisment or erroneous enlistment and be fined or placed in confinement.
Take it from someone with 15 years in the Navy who specialized and works in Mental health.

Proving that truth is often greater than fiction, the handsome production of Seabiscuit offers a healthy alternative to Hollywood's staple diet of mayhem. With superior production values at his disposal, writer-director Gary Ross (Pleasantville) is a bit too reverent toward Laura Hillenbrand's captivating bestseller, unnecessarily using archival material--and David McCullough's familiar PBS-styled narration--to pay Ken Burns-like tribute to Hillenbrand's acclaimed history of Seabiscuit, the knobby-kneed thoroughbred who "came from behind" in the late 1930s to win the hearts of Depression-weary Americans...

Depression Photos Color Quotes:

No human thing is of serious importance. By Plato Find out about Depression Photos Color

MENOPAUSE – SIMPLE WAYS TO COPE WITH THE symptoms

Menopause has a debilitating effect on the body and mind of a woman. This may sound melodramatic, but when you think of all the symptoms that are part of the menopausal stage, you will definitely agree with me.

Medical research has identified 34 to 35 common menopausal symptoms. To name a few:

Physical menopausal symptoms:

Profuse sweating at night, palpitation, extreme fatigue, joint pains, bleeding of gums, bloating, frequent headaches, irregular menstruation, Osteoporosis, cracking and chipping of finger/toe nails, increase in facial hair but thinning of hairline, frequent gastric ailments, vaginal irritation, dryness of skin causing wrinkles, and sometimes higher levels of Thyroid Stimulating Hormones (TSH) or Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Emotional menopausal symptoms: Irritability, mood-swings ranging between depression and hilarity, insomnia, lack of concentration, unjustified anxiety and fears, diminishing interest in sexual activity, etc.

Phew! Aren’t these enough? Today, medical research has provided drugs for most of the physical as well as emotional problems. But some of these medications have side effects that can be equally traumatic. So, from a non-medical point of view, there are some very simple ways in which to cope with this difficult stage in life. They are:

Yoga therapy for menopause

Prana Power Yoga is one of the most effective forms of exercise. It is a combination of Yoga exercises and meditation. Yoga improves blood circulation and increases efficiency of all the other organs, thus reducing the physical symptoms. Yoga also includes pranayam or breathing technique which is a form of mind-and-body relaxation method, thus reducing emotional symptoms. Of course, any new form of physical activity should be undertaken under proper supervision; especially so by women who have a family history of Osteoporosis/Rheumatism or experience joint pains. If your daily schedule renders yoga classes impossible, an early morning walk for about 20 minutes will do wonders as well. It is important to make exercise an essential part of your daily routine.

Appropriate regime during menopause

I am not going to tell you the usual diet – drink plenty of water, increase fiber intake, lots of fruits and vegetables, etc. You already know this. But here’s what I consume besides the usual balanced diet with positiveresults – soy bean flour. A tablespoon of flour per day can be consumed in the form of porridge at breakfast time. Also, add a tablespoon of cooked bean sprouts in your daily salad. Make mayonnaise and other sauces at home with low-cholesterol cooking oil instead of using commercially available sauces. Soak together one almond, fiveblack currants, one dried fig, one dried apricot, one date in half cup water for five to six hours and consume the whole thing once a day. This prevents acidity and aids digestion. And here’s the bonus – your skin will develop a new radiance. Again, please be cautious about any known or possible allergies. Modifying an old cliché, “An apple a day, keeps your cheeks pink everyday.”

Hobby as a cure for menopausal symptoms

Come on ladies, start thinking about “you” instead of your career and family. Keep some time of the week for an activity that you like doing alone. Occasionally go on a holiday to a place you have missed because the rest of the family was not interested. This can be combined with photography or writing travel articles to share your experiences. If Osteoporosis or Rheumatism is a deterrent, resume an old favorite hobby such as writing, singing, painting, sketching, home-made jewelry, home-made handicrafts, etc. You can learn to play a musical instrument or join the local dramatics association. But the key phrase here is – do what you-and-you-alone wish to do, away from the rest of the family. It will also get you away from your aches and pains for a while.

A school friend of mine took up an unusual hobby – she brought down all the old photo albums from the attic and kept them closer at hand. Once a week she organizes the photos in new albums and writes little notes below each photo, listing the people in each photo and the relationship with the family. She also writes down some interesting or amusing incidents related with some of the photographs. This has brought back wonderful memories and she feels as if she was reliving those beautiful moments of her life. It has had a therapeutic effect and keeps her in a positive frame of mind during the rest of the week. Ahem, of course, some of us like writing articles.

Look good, feel good during menopause

Ah, know any woman who doesn’t want to look good? You will not find one. Treat yourself to some new clothes; maybe even change your style a little. Give yourself a new look. It’s not important to be trendy. It is more important to wear comfortable clothes that enhance your individual personality. Try a new hairstyle. A deep-cleansing facial once a month will keep the skin toned and slow down the process of wrinkling. The look-good-feel-good effect works wonders, so pamper yourself. Herbal products are great and rarely have adverse side effects. Massaging with almond oil enriched with Vitamin E rejuvenates the skin and gives it a natural glow; yes, even at 50 plus years. Again, please do not try anything new if you have a history or family history of skin allergies.

Redecorate your home

As a cure for menopausal symptoms, depending on your finances, health and energy levels, you can redecorate your home (or at least your own room) to give it a new look. Take your time doing it. Make a list of your favorite colors for the soft furnishing; buy a reclining chair you’ve always wanted or a lampshade you preferred. Maybe you would like a small settee placed next to the window for your early morning tea time. If your room is breezy and cool, hang a wind-chime at the window. Choose something with a soft tinkling sound. This will soothe the nerves and in a little while you will actually feel your mind and muscles start to relax. The soft sound of a waterfall can also be very calming. Small ornamental indoor waterfalls are available in curio shops. Place it just a few feet away from the chair you usually use when relaxing at the end of the day.

Aromatherapy for menopause

Go out and shop instead of wallowing in depression. Lavender, ylang-ylang, chamomile, orange, rose, etc are soothing fragrances. Essential oils with these fragrances are commercially available. Rubbing your face and body with an essential oil of your choice will serve a dual purpose - the fragrance soothes the nerves and the base oil acts as a natural moisturizer. These oils are also available to suit a person by their personality and zodiac sign. Why not try one? I have and it does help to some extent.

Home based job - a sure cure for menopausal symptoms

For homemakers, who have some free time on their hands and are thrifty by nature, taking on a part time work-from-home job can be very fulfilling. You can even acquire the job from home. There are various websites where you can register free of cost and seek employment to suit your talents. Just Google-search for home based jobs and you will find a plethora of such websites. Some extra income is always useful. A bit of caution: If any site asks you to pay them online to get a job, just ignore them. No genuine job sites will ask you to pay them for giving you work as they are paid by the recruiters. For job-seekers, the service is free of cost.

Charity-related work

Now this may sound preachy, but in fact charitable work has a therapeutic as well as schooling effect on a person. This should be a purely voluntary service, not paid work. Visit an orphanage or home-for-the-aged and spend some quality time with the residents. Voluntary work in schools for special children can also be taken up. This kind of activity would take you away from your aches and pains. Emotionally, when you see someone in a worse condition than you and yours, it compels you to thank God for what He has given you. Charity work can also be done from your own home. There is a concept of mentoring a needy child, where you can facilitate the child’s education. There is no financial responsibility on your part. Coaching, guidance and advice are all it takes. This is very fulfilling emotionally, especially since your own children have probably grown up and do not need you as much. The feeling of being “needed” by someone adds purpose to your life.

Reading - a distraction from menopause

Were you fond of reading when young? Have you let that excellent habit take a backseat? Then this is the time to visit the nearest bookstore and just browse, and browse... The old spark of interest will be rekindled. I’m speaking of books, of course! Discover new authors, new writing style. If you have read only fiction in the past, try non-fiction like plays, autobiographies, real-life adventure stories, etc. At present I am reading “Three Cups of Tea” co-authored by Greg Mortensen (a mountaineer) and D. A. Relin, which is about one man’s mission to build schools in the most remote parts of Pakistan where there were none. It is a very compelling story and fast reading.

Another lady of my acquaintance did something unusual but very, very therapeutic for her – she gathered together all the comics that were stashed away in an old trunk and read some of them once a week. These included Phantom, Mandrake the Magician, Asterix, Archie, etc. What you read is not the question here. The end result has to be positive and that’s what counts. If you do not wish to purchase books, you can join the local lending library and read books for a nominal fee.

Pet therapy for menopausal symptoms

Those who love animals but have not had an opportunity to keep a pet can do so now. Pets are adorable. I have a dog named Robin Hood, who belies the name vis-à-vis bravery. Yet, he is the most pampered and adored member of our household. Dogs, cats, fish, birds or other pets need a lot of attention, so you should be prepared to devote plenty of time. Most pets havemoods too and are usually very sensitive to criticism. Treat a pet with TLC and the pleasure is all yours.

Quality time with spouse:

Discussing your needs and problems with your spouse can sometimes help. Better options are getting away together at a weekend for a short holiday, reliving the old days, sharing common interests, etc. Enroll in some activity which you can do together as a couple. Learn ballroom dancing together. Laughing together, smiling together, sharing companionable silences, just a walk hand-in-hand is not outdated and will never be. These apparently small gestures are a large part of togetherness.

Recognize your potential:

Paula (name changed) said to me, “But I am not good at anything. I cannot sing or dance. I am not fond of reading. My Arthritis will not permit travel. I am just an ordinary homemaker. I can cook and bake very well but I’ve been doing that for years. It hasn’t been therapeutic so far!” Our little group of friends got together and suggested she conduct cooking and baking classes at home for teenagers and young couples who are on the threshold of a new life. Today, her students are winning cooking and baking competitions. They consider her the mantra for kitchen-ills. For neighbors and friends, she has even come up with simplified recipes; especially useful for mothers with very young children or men/women who like home cooked food but cannot spare the time to prepare elaborate meals. Who knows, maybe one day a cookery book with her name on it might be available in bookstores.

So ladies, you have taken care of spouse, house and kids. Why expect others to take care of you now? You can take care of yourself. I have found my therapy – reading and writing. GO AND FIND YOUR THERAPY BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH IT

Depression Era Lessons for Today’s Entrepreneur’s

by: Geoff Ficke

The vast majority of an educated modern populace has developed a pretty vivid tapestry of what life was like during the “Great Depression”. The visions of struggling dirt farmers like the Joad’s in Steinbeck’s “The Grapes of Wrath”, the big city soup lines, the tent cities for thousands of homeless and photographs of men selling apples on street corners have burnished in many of us a searing image of hopelessness and despair.

Today, the United States is sharing the most serious economic malady since the “Great Depression” with countries all over the world. While not approaching the absolute calamity of the 1930’s, the damage done to our wallets and psyches is nevertheless daunting and bruising. Businesses, organizations and individuals are understandably fearful and have curtailed spending in lieu of conserving capital. Risk taking, the key to maximizing gain, has been virtually shut down. Small business growth and development has been strangled. Entrepreneurs have hunkered down, fearful of the vagaries of a marketplace that seems to have no stomach for new products and ideas.

In times like these it pays to study the lessons of history. The Great Depression was bleak for so many, of course. Nevertheless, it was actually a fertile era for creativity and entrepreneurial activity.

People were desperate to make every purchase count, to leverage every dollar spent and obtain maximum value. The result was that an exciting array of creative breakthroughs came to market to satisfy the greater demand for economy.

The importance of consumer advertising was magnified and became a much more critical tool utilized by packaged goods manufacturers to woo value conscious consumers. Heinz ketchup, Palmolive soap, Campbell soup, Westinghouse appliances, Revlon and Max Factor cosmetics and Hormel Spam enjoyed an explosion of growth created by new sales promotion concepts. Billboards, mass advertising, coupons and sampling became ubiquitous. Local, regional and national agencies evolved to assist manufacturers in promoting their products in new, exciting ways. Barn advertising for tobacco products and Burma Shave road signs added needed revenue to beleaguered farmers and roadside landowners.

The Studebaker Motor Company had evolved from a 19th century maker of hand carts and wheelbarrows to a struggling auto carriage manufacturer. The Company enjoyed modest success until the Great Depression. Recognizing opportunity, Studebaker went back to its roots as a maker of work conveyances and began to produce the Studebaker paneled work truck. At a price of around $600, this workhorse vehicle enabled thousands of laborers, handymen and small contractors to eke out a living hauling, building and scratch farming.

The ball point pen, nylon, the radio, radar, the Land camera, the photocopier, sticky tape, the television, FM radio band, the helicopter, the jet engine and the electric razor are only a few of the inventions that were perfected and came to market during the 1930’s. Inventors did not stop their pursuit of fresh, valuable innovations. They seized the reality they were confronted with and targeted practical solutions to problems that needed to be addressed at that time.

The same opportunity is available today. The opportunity to create products or services that offer great utility and excellent value is appreciated by the consumer more than at any time in recent memory. There is a rush to basics, store brands, no frills products that perform and are sturdy. The inventor that can address these contemporary needs will find a willing acceptance from investors, consumers and retailers.

There is never a better time than NOW to launch a product, start a business or license a product. This is true when markets are booming, or when the economy is in a trough. There are always excuses made for not making a sale, not closing a deal or not taking that chance, that chance that can change one’s life. Every economic age offers the opportunity for success for those willing to address real needs with inventiveness. History offers us plenty of proof.

Could this be the depression?

Everything seemed fine in my life before a month or so ago. I am engaged to be married in a couple of years from now with a beautiful and loving girl. I started to get this unwanted images and thoughts in my head about all sorts of shit, including violence, unwanted sexual images, and a whole bunch of anxiety. Well what is really bugging me lately is that nowadays when I tell my fiance that I love her, i have this feeling of guilt, even sometimes when I touch her. But when I think of losing her or her being gone for along time, I get this feeling of anxiety and pain, like I know I would miss her alot. I have been seeing a phycologist and am seeing a phyciatrist next week, but with all of these thoughts I've never had before, could it be the depression messing with my mind? Because before I was diagnosed with it, I've never questioned my love for my fiance or our future. I guess I'm just so confused, sometimes everything seems great then I go back to a sad, confusing, unsure state.

It sounds like you may be having anxiety attacks and that can be paired with depression. This is important enough to see a doctor for. They won't think you are crazy.

Great Depression Of America Quotes:

Keep your fears to yourself but share your courage with others. By Robert Louis Stevenson Find out about Great Depression Of America

Taking Baby Steps to Reach Your Goals and Achieve Greatness like Earnhardt and Trump

Ask any famous person that achieved greatness what they did that was different. They would tell you they mad their goals realistic and took action. The rest is history. Napoleon Hill stated "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve." He used a positive mental attitude and the use of small, realistic steps to achieve greatness. He went from a poor beginning in a log cabin to one of the best selling authors and an advisor to congressmen, presidents and so on. W. Clement Stone took $100 and with this same use of creating realistic steps and taking action he built one of the largest multi million dollar insurance companies in America.
They may not have the current publicity or notoriaty of Donald Trump, Dale Earnhardt or similar, but they came from much humbler starts. Donald Trump was born into a real estate magnate family. Dale Earnhardt was born into a established race car family in Kannapolis North Carolina. Now thats not to say that Donald Trump and Dale Earnhardt are not great people (Dale Earnhardt formed one of the largest and winningest Nascar teams and was very philanthropic and helped a lot of people through his charitable activities). What I am getting at here is that most of us don't have magnates or millions in our families, but that in no wy means we cannot achieve greatness, riches beyond our wildest dreams, etc... Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone actually started with much less and in worse times and conditions than we have ever known (the great depression era).
What drove Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone to greatness was two things. (1)They planned realistic steps to reach attainable goals (baby steps). They didn't just wake up one day and say my only goal is to be rich and retire tomorrow. They made plans and kept slowly raising the bar every time they would attain one of their goals. (2)They took action. You wouldn't believe how many times I hear people state all the things they are going to do or would like to do. I recently attended a young Cornell Alumni meeting where the talk was mostly about grand future plans, or what they would like to do but they don't have time, the conditions aren't right, etc... You have to start somewhere. If you take too big of a step you will probably become defeated and not continue. It is better to take small attainable steps. Each time you attain one of these steps or your goal raise the bar a little. It will slowly move you closer to your dream and give you a great boost in self confidence. You have to plan out little baby steps and then you have to take action. This will seperate you from everyone else - the majority of people live life day to day, pay check to paycheck with little or no action or planning. You can always find these people complaining about how bad the economy is, taxes are too high, etc...
The best thing you can do is find a mentor and surround yourself with positive achievers and realize it will take a lot of effort. Lance Armstrong didn't win the Tour de France 6 times by accident and battle cancer at the same time. He was driven, set goals, and took action on a daily basis. He also realized greatness would not happen overnight. Greatness didn't come overnight for Dale Earnhardt either. He raced hard for many years, suffered crashes that would have kept most people off the track and faced fear head on. With his tanacity, fierce vigor and drive he became the greatest Nascar legend of all time. Now his son, Dale Jr., continues his racing legacy and awesome philanthropic and charitable activities. If you take the effort to take action, use baby steps to attain goals and make realistic goals you cannot and will not fail. Failure will not be a word in your vocabulary.
Now you know how to achieve greatness. Set goals for yourself. Make them realistic and take realistic baby steps to achieve them. Take action - this will seperate you from 99.9% of everyone else. They are afraid to take action and will never attain greatness. What do you think Lance Armstrong said when critics said he could not win the Tour de France, or that he could not do a repeat win of it? What do you think Dale Earnhardt said when the critics stated he could not overcome his fathers shadow in racing? They went on to become the greatest of their time. What will you do? It is never to late to decide to take control of your life and make something great of it. Look at Sam Walton. He didn't like working with a Ben Franklin franchise and their rules. So he started his own retailing company and became the largest retailer in the world. If you make attainable goals, take action, and lay out baby steps to achieve these goals there is no way you will fail and there's no telling what you can or will achieve. Some of our greatest achievers have come from the most humbling positions. I wonder what greatness you can and will achieve.

Great Depression Of America
Great Depression Of America Incredible News

In "Great Myths of the Great Depression" what role did the poor government policy play in the depression?

What were Reed's views on the way the government handled the Great Depression in America

Reed believes government intervention in the economy worsened the Great Depression.

Is he credible? In a word, NO, and I think so because of the most important authority he cites: Milton Freidman. Freidman, in case you don't know, is the founder of the 'Chicago School' of economics. He has been involved in re-writing the economic systems for a host of countries from South Americato South Africa, RUssia, China, and Eastern Europe; in favor of unlimited free enterprise, with the help of the CIA, the WOrld Bank, and the IMF...I'm not sure what he thinks the purpose of a 'successful' economy is, but everywhere Freidman's plans have been laid, the result has been greater public debt, greater unemployment, a fall in GNP, and a greater gulf between rich and poor.

Reed's work is, therefore, just an attempt to use 'historical revisionism'
to back up the modern-day Freidman theories.

NB You can read more about the destructive policies of Friedman (Reed's buddy), and the use of dictatorships, war/violent repression, and widespread TORTURE to implement these plans, in the new
Naomi Klein book, 'The Shock Doctrine.'

American Great Depression Quotes:

If I had my life to live over I would perhaps have more actual troubles but I'd have fewer imaginary ones. By Don Herold Find out about American Great Depression

A WAY OUT OF THIS GREAT DEPRESSION

There are MILLIONS of Americans who are losing their jobs. Right now there is so much anxiety running through are nation, depression, sleepless nights etc...What can we make of all this. We are entering into a new era in humanity, where jobs are being streamlined, if you don't have the skills of today to move forward you will be replaced by someone who does.

Many today are still stuck in that same old thinking. Industrial thinking that has no benefit for today’s modern culture. Don't be afraid of change and be open to new opportunities or make your own opportunity

"If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves." -Thomas A. Edison

This opportunity represents a way to make substantial income without a boss, & without relying on a Employer for your income. The Old Ways Of Work And Thinking Is Hurting You.

Its time to declare independence and work for yourself.

American Great Depression
American Great Depression Best Information

What are some differences between the Great Depression and traditional American techniques?

What did we do differently to pull America out of the Great Depression than traditionally in American history?

FDR set up the WPA (works progress administration) that gave jobs to a fifth of the labor force. They built bridges and buildings and highways. While this didn't completely solve unemployment, it certainly helped. Also, the Depression ended around 1939 and WWII began about 1942. The army gave jobs to tons of people, also helping pull the economy back up. It's not like there was just the army, there were army related jobs too (building weapons, sending supplies, getting food, etc.).
