Do you have trouble talking to family members about clinical depression, or any kind of life's problems?

I don't like to talk to them about it, because they don't understand about the difference between clinical and situational depression, and it seems like they think a person has a choice. As most of you know, that choice may be easy with situational depression, but someone can not pull themselves out of the sickness depression. It is also hard because people think someone wants pity, but the truth is a person wants understanding from them so they can help the person and not cause him to be anymore depressed. I do take antidepressants and they help as long as my family are acting fine toward me, but sometimes they do and say things that make it worse. Things are really getting more and more serious, it's getting harder to hold on. I have had the problem for many years, but I have never been so tired of life as I have been lately. Do many of you know what I am talking about?

Yes, depression is hard to discuss. You know what it's like and All you want is for someone to empathize. While I am not clinically depressed I have some experience. Please keep in mind that people don't always know how to properly support those with such a deep sadness, and may even be afraid to allow themselves to get on that train of thought. Keep going to therepy, you CAN help yourself. Another bit of advice? Help others! Be the one that understands them, and by helping them you may help yourself. Lots of Luck!

Great Depression Family Quotes:

Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is to small to be made into a burden. By Corrie ten Boom Find out about Great Depression Family

There is still Life during the great depression

“Life must go on”. This quotation is applicable even during the time of a great depression. Yes, there is still life during the great depression. Life is a journey and not a destination. It is a matter of facing the phases of life one day at a time. Anywhere we go, recession is being talked about but recession and recession effect are part and parcel of life. Your world will not stop because the world is facing recession or worse depression. Take this confession from a working mom:
“I am a mother of three children (two girls and one boy). Life has been so difficult for three years now. When my eldest started going to school the other year, that's the time that my husband and I really find it difficult to adjust in terms of the financial aspect of our family. With our meager income combined, we find it difficult not to engage in debts. Our checks are already spent even before we have received them. Is there still a chance for our life to become better? My husband and I always ask how to survive the great depression. Please, if you have an answer to our problems hear our plea, tell us what to do. We are almost hopeless.”
This confession is very touching especially because I know that this mother is not the only one who needs help. The recession effect is really felt by every single person. Much more by moms because the budgeting task is placed on their shoulders. Hence, the pieces of advice that I'll share here will be for all the moms who find life difficult during the economic financial crisis. My suggestions are for you to:
•    Know how much is your income per month. Part of how to survive a depression is for you to live within your means. Do not over spend. Debts can be avoided in this way. You just have to buy what you need. Just sacrifice the wants that you have for a while.
•    Look for extra job or income. No matter how small the additional income you will have, still that is money and that will be able to help you in many ways. The Internet is a rich source of additional income. If you can find legitimate companies in the internet to offer you extra income grab it. Usually what you need is a computer with an internet connection and your skill in writing, editing, etc.
•    Budget your income. The problem usually starts when you do not know how to budget what you earn. Commonly, you act as one day millionaire and a pauper for 30 days.
Of course, in this journey of life we all experience how it is to fall and be affected by the recession effect. Just like when we ride a horse, we fall off from it but when we fall we just do not stay on the road where we fell. We stand and hop back on. Surely, there are hurdles which we must face but life goes on. We just have to learn from the mistakes we have committed and go on with life. Again, you have to know that there is still life during the great depression.

Is your family prepared for a Great Depression?

...or do you think you'll be rescued by a compassionate, wealthy, fiscally sound government?
.

Yes and no. My friends and I are preparing and its called "provident living." No, I do not think the govt. will bail us out. The mess facing our next president will be around for at least the next 50 years, along with an unjustified war.
