Exposure therapy as that treatment of social phobia is exactly what it sounds like, to expose your body and mind to what you fear. By gradually exposing and training of your mind that the feared event is quite as horrible as you think it is, you work for you desensitize the stimulus.

Are these fears realistic? You need to test these concepts to see if it compares with what happens in the real world. You told funny stories before, then you can probably do it again. Even if the story is stupid or irrelevant, the auditors would probably never be so rude as to turn back and walk away, and most if not all will at least pretend to be interested.
However, you can also tell a story interesting and captivating as you start down the road to new friendships and better interaction with colleagues. If you constantly look at and examine your beliefs and you can rationalize them away at the long-held, negative beliefs that you slow. You can train your mind not to react negatively to all the circumstances and certainly not to overestimate or exaggerate the negative.

Just know I fear social But I'm too afraid to do anything about it. Help. ?
I fight akwardness and fear of social situations almost all my Life, but recent weather is very good Luckly in health class, we read about social phobia and my first thought 'crap. oh, thats me. 'Since then, research on. I'e only with more confidence that I have it. Everything I read said that should be treated. Obviously this means I will tell my parents so I can go to therapy right? Tell them the wrong idea terrifies me there is no clear reason. But can not itself be given the opportunity to decide, although I know they will not. I am afraid to tell them but I'm not sure I can stand this. I know that I am afraid not appropriate. But can not make disappear. Who can help?
The best advice would talk. With advisors about it. Reading has been shown to help some people or not. But people complain of anxiety or social phobia were diagnosed social differentiation.
