Treating Social Anxiety Disorder- Helpfull Tips To Stop The Stress
Treating social anxiety disorder... Social anxiety disorder is a problem that many people suffer, every person have different symptoms, but almost every sufferer has symptoms like avoiding social situations, blushing and fear of being judged. First you need a great therapist, just make sure that your therapist is specialized on curing social anxiety disorder, this will prevent you to get wrong suggestions, due to the fact SAD is so different for distinct folks it's generally mistreated. Prior to going to therapies make sure you have time being there, you cant be hurrying to go somewhere after treatment, as this wont let you to relax. Typically therapy lasts 45 minutes and once a week.
Most crucial thing that you'll be learning by taking therapies is controlling your indicators. This is commonly done by relaxation and distinct breathing exercises. It involves controlling both physical and psychological signs or symptoms. You're going to talk about what do you really feel in social situations, how and why you act in specific way when being surrounded by individuals. This can vary due to the fact folks have several indicators and therapies are good way, simply because you will get individual social anxiety treatment that's optimized for your indicators.
Another thing that I want to tell you about are group therapies which are also very effective, they are not that personalized about symptoms of individual, but you will certainly learn a lot from group therapies. The concept of group therapies is actually the same as private therapies - you will learn to control your symptoms and analyze yourself. Only difference is really that there are other people as well, which can make it harder, but just keep in mind that they are also sufferers and they feel just like you, and there is no need to be afraid that in the first time you will be asked to make a round and start telling about yourself in front of everyone - this is a common reason why people choose to avoid group therapies, but therapist know how SAD sufferers feel themselves in such situations and you will not be put into situations that you don't want to be in.
You may possibly be wondering which is far better for you personally, group or private treatment, you just have to make sure how do you feel, should you think that you're not ready being surrounded by several individuals you could possibly want to try private treatment. Bottom line is just pick the one which you believe fits the ideal for you personally.

Social anxiety suggestions?
I think I may have social anxiety. I've done some research for help on the internet but everything seems to relate it to depression. I'm not at all depressed. I just am ALWAYS afraid to speak my mind in front of others (other than my family and my two best friends). I am always afraid of being judged I guess. When I do try to push myself to speak, it always comes out wrong or I stumble over my words. It has never made me want to completely isolate myself and I have always been able to push through it just enough to go for some things I want (my job, attending college etc.) But I have missed out on a lot of social things because I was too shy to be around people, wondering what to say, or what they're thinking about me. I basically feel people don't want to hear what I have to say, so why speak. Also, I get so jittery and nervous around new people. Like I said, I've been able to deal just enough to get by, but Im tired of dealing with the feelings. Its very annoying. Help??
I work in the mental health field. Anxiety can go hand in hand with depression but they are not the same. There could be lots of reasons for your anxiety but I would really suggest some counseling. There are a lot of cognitive-behavioral techniques you could discuss to "learn" new attitudes, thoughts and behaviors. Then again, it could be genetic and there are a lot of medications to help. You won't know until you check out a VERY good counselor. Don't be afraid or stigmatized by seeing one. Would you rather work at it or live with it??? Good luck to you and learn to like who you are first...not worry about what others perceive you to be.
