You didn't ruthlessly analyze what they were saying. You took their beliefs for granted and now you unconsciously live your life based on them.

Advertising, other people's opinions, mass media, scientists, religion, family, school and a bunch of other influences came at you from all directions.They molded you as a person and you became the person you are right now. They made you willingly or unwillingly to become confused and helpless.

Slowly and steadly you began to give your concept of reality and to stop thinking and start imitating. You began to trust less and less your own muse, your own internal thinking.

You think you are a different person but in truth if you look closely you will realize that your beliefs are very similar to many people around you. Your actions are not greatly different from other people.

Of course, you probably have douzens of excuses to back it up. These excuses were designed by other people even before you were born. They have the meaning that they gave it to you.

I see this situation happening all the time with lots of people who suffer from social anxiety.

Next, I'm going to lay down a few truths about overcoming social anxiety.

They are not meant to make you feel good. Their only purpose is to wake you up to reality. If you really get what I'm going to say you will thank me afterwards.

Truth #1:There is NO magic pill. Yes. There is no magic formula or recipe, anything like that, to help you overcome your social anxiety.

There is no magic pill you can take to free yourself of anxiety for life. It has never been invented and it will never be invented.

Here's why: If you want to eliminate your social anxiety you need to stop thinking negatively and helplessly. You need to let go of your low self esteem, poor self image and self confidence. If you hold to your emotional issues, you will never be able to overcome social anxiety.

It may sound brutal but this is how it works. The good news is that all of these feelings are not you. They are something you build on top of you. So, you can easily release them if you want to.

The only break is that they are unconscious. You don't even remember that you have them.

Truth #2:It's 100% your fault. All of these people, institutions and organizations tell you directly or indirectly that you are just a victim to the environment and this is why you have anxiety. That's not the case.

You have social anxiety because "you" started in the past to emotionally react to your environment and to other people and you did not stop since.

Of course, some of these reactions started when you were very little and now you may excuse yourself by saying that you did not have any control over yourself. I agree with this excuse but this does not change the facts.

The facts are that you maintain your limitations and you keep feeling anxiety. You are doing it right now. You do it because you get something out of it. Usually, what you get is a feeling.

That's a robot like way to live your life. The stimulus happens outside yourself and you react to it. The stimulus happens again and you react again in the exact same way. You begin to react like a pavlovian dog.

The problem with this is that you have no control over it. It's like you have a set of exposed buttons and everyone who knows about them can push them and make you buy their stuff, join their cause or do whatever they want with your life.

Your number 1 priority should be to eliminate the causes of social anxiety in order to overcome social anxiety. Look at things as they are based on your experience.

Don't give too much credit to expert. Prove everything to yourself and take a leap of faith in the direction of having more control over your life.

how to cure social anxiety?

whenever i'm around people, except for a few, i get really nervous and paranoid about what to say. people say i'm weird, but i just get really anxious and uncomfortable with people....how do you cure this? is there a pill, or just a way to get rid of this nervousness? i don't have many friends, and I think this may be why. Believe me, other people are TOO self absorbed to think about you as often as you think they are. It's all in your head. No one is thinking about you and no one is staring at you. You are the only one who thinks about yourself constantly. Stop that.
