why do i love watching depressing movies or songs?
am i normal?i love depressing stuff, and no im not into the emo shit and cutting myself and that stuff but i do enjoy watching depressing stuff and crying.even in cartoons i cry alot why do i cry so easily i even go on youtube and search for depressing videos and on yahoo i search for depressing quotes whats wrong with me?
Emotional movies/images appeal to us because thats how our brain is wired. Crying has been known to increase seratonin/dopamine levels in the brain- leading the feeling of relief (after the crying episode). So, you seem to enjoy the emo movies more because of this. Dont worry about it- its not bad or too unusual. I cry like a baby watching senti movies myself. I would try to seek out happy movies out too once in a while. Too much depressing movies and you might feel depressed yourself. Theres plenty to laugh about on youtube as well. (Wasnt laughing baby a blast!) All the best!
