Depression Quizzes Quotes:
You know those days when you've got the mean reds.... the blues are because you're getting fat or maybe it's been raining too long. You're sad that's all. But the mean reds are horrible. You're afraid and you sweat like hell but you don't know what you're afraid of. Except something bad is going to happen only you don't know what it is. By Truman Capote Breakfast at Tiffany's1958 spoken by the character Holly Golightly Find out about Depression Quizzes
COPING WITH DEPRESSION
Often when you are depressed, you feel disconnected from society and reality. This feeling not only causes you to isolate but can also pull you away from your friends, family and work, ultimately leading you to loneliness.
Coping with depression can be challenging at times. If you are in a state of deep depression, it is hard to make yourself engage in the behavior and activities that may help you feel better.
However there are a few things which you can do to lighten things up and hopefully bring yourself out or prevent yourself from feeling isolated. You can also talk to your doctor or therapist about improving your coping skills.
- You should simplify your life as much as possible. Cut back on obligations when possible and set reasonable schedules for your goals.
- When experiencing or going through pain, anger, fear or other emotions then you must consider writing all your feelings in a journal.
- Try reading reputable self-help books and consider talking about them to your doctor or therapist.
- Don’t limit yourself to being alone. Try to participate in normal activities and get together with family or friends regularly.
- Take proper care of yourself. Eat a healthy diet and give sufficient sleep to your body.
- Set your mind on attainable goals. Find something that motivates you to get well and stay focused on that.
- Give a structure to your daily activities. Plan a schedule and try to stay organized. In this way you will get satisfaction from daily accomplishments.
- Avoid any decision making while you are deeply depressed since you may not be seeing the whole picture accurately.
- Go out with a friend at least once a week. Talk to him or her about what you are going through. Don’t isolate yourself all week long.
- Occupy your mind. You can either play cross word puzzles, spatial puzzles, solve problem quizzes or even read a good novel that inspires you.

I have severe depression.. How do I tell my parents?
I took over 10 quizzes online. And I didn't fake or anything, and I'm sure I have mental depression. I have every single one of the symptoms. I want to get help, I seriously want to..! BAD! But the problem is, I don't know how to tell my parents.
They probably won't take me seriously, because ONLY around them, I act happy and all. But I have mental depression.. I want medication, I need it..
I just want to be happy... :'(
Don't hide your depression from your parents.
If you feel like crying, cry. Let them see the real you.
Tell them about the depressing thoughts you have. Hopefully they will be concerned about you and want you to speak to a professional. If they don't seem to understand, talk to a counselor at your school. I hope you will be feeling better soon. Best Wishes.
